ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED FIGURES IN SOUL, JAZZ & FUNK MUSIC, ROY AYERS HAS A MUSICAL HERITAGE THAT HAS INFLUENCED SO MANY OF THE MUSICIANS, PRODUCERS & DJ’S OF THE CURRENT SCENE. WITH TRACKS LIKE “RUNNING AWAY”, “EVOLUTION” & “EVERYBODY LOVES THE SUNSHINE”, HIS WORK HAS MANAGED TO STAND THE TEST OF TIME AND CONTINUES TO PROVIDE THE SOUNDTRACK TO OUR LIVES. The legendary Funki Dred (now an OBE!) makes a rare trip up to Birmingham for a DJ set @ the Hare & Hounds.Soul II Soul started life as a sound system in the late 80's and went on to become a Grammy Award-winning super-group, with a string of hit records, packed clubnights and a classic clothing label.
